With little other space not contested and their non-confrontational nature, the hanar and drell began early on to build aerostat habitats outposts floating in the atmosphere of this Mass Effect Roleplay version of Venus. The aerostats allowed the two races a place to live safe from the surface's molten temperatures and sulphuric acid clouds. These outposts hinder population significantly, leading many drell to abandon the Compact and try to make their way to the Citadel or Earth instead.
